Waste Heat Recovery Heat Pump (WHRHP) units are advanced systems designed to capture low-grade waste heat from industrial or commercial processes and convert it into useful heating or hot water. Ideal for energy-intensive operations, these systems dramatically reduce energy consumption, improve process efficiency, and lower carbon emissions.

Low-Temperature Drying for High-Value, Heat-Sensitive Products:

Our Heat Pump Spray Dryers provide an innovative, energy-efficient solution for gentle drying of liquid products into powders, especially where product quality, aroma, and bioactivity are critical. By utilizing low-temperature air heated via a heat pump, these systems drastically reduce energy consumption while preserving product integrity.

Why Heat Pump Spray Drying?

Unlike conventional spray dryers that rely on hot air from fossil-fuel heaters, our systems use closed-loop dehumidified warm air, recycled and efficiently reheated using a heat pump. This innovative approach enables high-band temperature operation (40–130°C), preserves sensitive nutrients and flavors, reduces energy consumption by up to 60%, eliminates direct combustion and flue gases, and ensures a compact, clean, and quiet operation.

Ideal for Drying:

  • Fruit & Vegetable Juices
  • Herbal Extracts
  • Dairy Products (Milk, Whey, Casein)
  • Probiotics, Enzymes, and Cultures
  • Plant-Based Proteins and Amino Acids
  • Liquid Pharmaceuticals and Nutraceuticals
  • Specialty Chemicals and Polymers

How It Works:

  • Atomization: Liquid product is atomized into fine droplets using a rotary or nozzle atomizer.
  • Drying: Warm, dehumidified air (from the heat pump system) quickly removes moisture in the drying chamber.
  • Powder Collection: Dried particles fall to the bottom or are collected via cyclone/separator.
  • Air Loop: Dry, warm air is reheated by the heat pump and recirculated—no energy is wasted.
  • Dry Sludge Discharge: Moist air is circulated through the heat pump dehumidifier, removing moisture and reheating air for reuse.
