Rockshell Corp’s Steam Heat Pump utilises waste heat from utilities in the form of vapour and steam and elevates the temperature required in the process. For example, if 120°C waste steam is available in a factory, this steam will be the input to our steam heat pump where it will be compressed and pressurised, thereby increasing its temperature by 20°C to 140°C in a single stage. The temperature can be further increased by adding more stages to meet the desired process requirement.

A steam heat pump uses waste steam or vapor from industrial utilities as an input, compresses and pressurizes it, and increases its temperature to meet process requirements. This process recovers latent heat, making it energy efficient.
In a single stage, a steam heat pump can achieve a Delta T of around 20°C. Higher temperatures can be reached by adding multiple stages.
Industries such as food processing, textiles, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals that generate waste steam can benefit from the technology to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Units are available in Cast Iron, SS 304, and SS 316L grades, with mechanical seals designed for high-temperature applications.
By recovering complete latent heat from waste steam, the system reduces energy wastage and lowers the need for fresh steam generation.
